Denise Pires
Function: Usability specialist
Denise has been fiddling around with computers and design since she was a child. So for her, the Communication and Multimedia Design course at the Hogeschool Rotterdam was a marvelous bridge between these passions. There she discovered her overwhelming interest in users' experience of websites, and she chose to minor in Interaction Design. Her interest in usability and end users was further fed by her graduation research into user friendliness and accessibility. This was for the Orange telephone company site.
After her graduation in 2007, she came to valspat and is much enjoying working on projects including Bol.com, Wehkamp, Ditzo and KPN. She is now studying for a M.A. in New Media at the University of Amsterdam as well, to supplement this practical experience within a theoretical framework.
