Marjan van Oostrum

Marjan is valsplat's conscience. She's a passionate researcher who very much empathizes with website users and the struggles they have to go through on occasion to accomplish something. She thinks that digital products should help users achieve their goals as a matter of fact. Technological innovations are a means to do this, not ends in themselves.
Putting this into practice became important during her training as Interaction Designer at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht: in 2000, she created valsplaat, together with Joris and Nils.
Time and time again, Marjan's gets her greatest kick when it's clear that getting end users involved in the realization of websites works. Her advice makes life easier for them and makes valsplat clients more successful.
