Usability test
A usability test lets you see where and how you can improve a website. Can visitors deal with your website? Can they find the right product, is filling in a form no problem and is their question answered? Not unimportant if you'd like to sell more, or avoid telephone calls.

We look at how people use the website. That way, problems are revealed and their cause becomes clear. We offer solutions, ones you can implement immediately.
A usability test is not market research. We're not about what visitors think is wonderful, or what their feelings for the brand are. Much more important: we show where users get stuck or quit.
Prevent open doors.
It is often a good thing to have valsplat experts review the site first. We've already seen many problems. And we often have a proven solution. So we can concentrate on things that are really relevant in a usability test.
Are you working on a new website? Then do a concept test first - you'll learn straight away whether or not visitors get the idea. This will give you the confidence of knowing you're on the right track. You'd want to know this before you put all your energy into content, design and technology.
How does a usability test work?
The right test participants.
Together we’ll look at your visitors’ profile. We make sure the right test users are nvited. Six to eight users are often enough.
From prototype to live website.
A usability test can be carried out on an existing website, as well as on a working prototype. Just so long as we can test the most important use cases.
Scenarios and tasks.
You're bound to have written down some use cases for the website. If not, then we'll help you do it. We'll translate these into clear scenarios and tasks. Test users will work with them during the test. An experienced researcher will supervise the test and ask the right question at the right time. If necessary, she'll zero in on what a user says and does. She's always 100% neutral, of course.
Seeing is believing.
You and your colleagues can follow the research from our observation room, live. The more interest, the better. You'll see and hear everything the test user does on your website. Very confrontational, but it really is educational. Thanks to eye tracking, you'll also see where the user is looking. And where he isn't.
Clear findings, concrete recommendations.
We report on all the problems that test users may experience on your website. And we make concrete recommendations, which we support visually. We want you to get on with improving the website quickly. The concept report is often ready within a few days. If you can't wait, we'll organize a workshop shortly after the test.
